About Brahmanandam Padma Shri Dr.Brahmanandam Kanneganti (Telugu: బ్రహ్మానందం కన్నెగంటి)(born 1 February 1956) is a popular Telugu film comedian-actor.He is considered as the greatest comedy actor in Tollywood. He has also entered the Guinness book of world records. He has been accoladed with many awards including the Nandi Award.Padma Shri Dr. Brahmanandam Kanneganti was born on 1 February 1956 in Andhra Pradesh, India. Prior to films, he was a Telugu lecturer in the town of Attili, a town in West Godavari district in the state of Andhra Pradesh. He began his film career with popular Telugu director and writer, Jandhyala's Aha Naa Pellanta in which Rajendra Prasad played the lead role. This movie has since become a cult classic among Telugu comedy films. Owing to his comic abilities and impeccable expressions, he is one of the most respected comedians in the history of Tollywood. Nowadays, he is a well-versatile active comedian in Tamil movies as well, such as in Ghilli, Mozhi, Kuselan and Sathyam. Audiences and critics have enjoyed his comedy characters in recent Telugu movies such as King, Ready, etc. Now a days it is very tough to imagine a Telugu movie without the legendary comedian in it. According to him, Jandhyala, EVV and S.V.Krishna Reddy were the best comedy directors he has ever worked with. He is presently writing a book based on his experiences in the film industry.
