About Mark Seif Mark Seif (born October 4, 1967) is an American attorney and professional poker player from Las Vegas, Nevada. Seif attended LaSalle High School in Pasadena, California. At the time, LaSalle was an all male college preparatory and parochial high school. Subsequently, Seif attended UCLA where he graduated with high honors and was awarded a bachelor's degree in Economics in 1991. From 1994 to 1997, Seif attended Loyola Law School in Los Angeles. During his law school tenure, Seif was selected to participate in a special program wherein certain law students, were authorized by the Supreme Court of California, to practice law under the supervision of highly experienced attorneys. Seif was selected as a prosecutor for the Los Angeles District Attorney's Office. At the Los Angeles DA's Office, Seif assisted in the prosecution of over 100 felony preliminary hearings and multiple felony criminal trials including the infamous, People of the State of California vs. Orenthal James Simpson. In May 1997, Seif graduated cum laude and Order of the Coif from Loyola Law School. There he received multiple American Jurisprudence awards for earning the highest grade in his class. From 1997 to 2001, Seif, was a practicing attorney specializing in labor and employment law, representing management exclusively. Seif's clients included large multi-national corporations along with small independent businesses. Later in his career, Seif took on a handful of criminal cases where he represented defendants charged with serious felonies, including first degree murder. He never lost a case that went to trial.
