About Miroslav Karhan Miroslav Karhan (born 21 June 1976 in Trnava) is a Slovak footballer.He began his career with local club Spartak Trnava. Via Real Betis and Beşiktaş J.K. he came to VfL Wolfsburg in 2001. As of April 2009 he has played 173 games and scored 9 goals in the Bundesliga. He has joined relegated Mainz on a free transfer from VfL Wolfsburg. Karhan has been capped 92 times and scored 13 goals for the Slovak national team and he was also its captain.
